Developer Portal
Note: Since this project was designed for my client's internal systems, I can't show screenshots of the real thing. The sample here is a mockup that represents the type of work I did, and contains no proprietary information or designs belonging to the client.
Challenge: Sweetwater's IT department wanted to bring all of their developer-focused documentation under one roof without watering down the independent identity and spirit of each developer team.
Solution: Create a developer portal that puts every team in the same location, and design a landing page that distinguishes the teams from each other.
My contributions:
Ported every developer team's Atlassian Confluence space to a new shared space.
Using Confluence's limited design tools, I created a landing page optimized for quick navigation and delineation of teams. I grouped the teams into color-coded buckets and put the space's help resources front and center.
Outcome: IT's dev teams can now reference each others' documentation in three clicks or less. Teams can collaborate better and new hires get the lay of the land faster.
